I've tested on both SSD (NVME Gen4) and a 7200RPM HDD (toshiba gaming performance) and my average loading is: NVME Gen4 SSD: 14-15 seconds. 7200RPM HDD: 17-19 seconds. So it's about 24% longer for me on HDD vs SSD. I enabled the slow HDD mode and have a very strong computer with plenty of VRAM/RAM tho. The textures loading a lot worse and slower so when I noticed the download happening I cancelled it. But after that the textures were still loading in slow. After I restarted the game and it was a lot better. Not sure if this has to do with the pre-loading of textures or if it gives any other ideas of what the problem is.

Take Jaheira with you into the lower city the first time you load it in.
