I have a 2007 John Deere X300 with 580 hours on it that started running poorly. It seemed like a fuel problem. Cleaned and rebuilt carb no change. Cleaned tank and replaced fuel lines from tank to carburetor new fuel filter. Same problem. The original pump was pumping fuel fine. Ordered a new carburetor and pump replaced both and problem solved.If this got bumped and/or dislocated when yanking off the mower deck, then they won't function properly.
